HOFFMAN REGAINS POINTS LEAD WITH A WIN AT JENNINGS
Daytona Beach, Fla - May 3, 2004
Nicole Hoffman of Draganee Racing earned a first place finish this weekend at Jennings GP, putting her in the championship points lead in Ultra Lightweight Superbike in the Southeast Region of the Championship Cup Series (CCS).
Starting from the first row and off to a terrific start, Hoffman led the group of Amateur riders throughout the entire race. Hoffman's biggest battle was with Expert rider #413 Daniele Lenarduzzi. The two riders battled back and forth for the entire race with Lenarduzzi winning by only a half of a bike length across the start/finish line.
"My Aprilia RS250 ran extremely well after we made a few adjustments to the suspension in practice on Saturday. I had a lot of confidence going into the race on Sunday, I felt great and knew we would have a successful weekend".
While rain was predicted for the entire region throughout the weekend, both Draganee team members were able to escape the late afternoon showers. Jeff placed 6th in Formula a 40, the last race of the day to compete without the threat of on and off-again rain showers.
